Prevost Veterinary Clinic has a long history of serving our community. It started with the mixed animal practice run by Dr. Dave Lott starting in about 1950. In 1963, Dr. David Reed purchased the practice and named it after Mount Prevost, which towered over the clinic property at the northwest corner of the Cowichan Valley. Dr. Bob Abernethy joined the practice in the spring of 1967 and soon became a partner. The next veterinarians hired were Dr. Arnold Wiren and Dr. Alan Longair who are both still involved with Prevost Veterinay Clinic today, at it's "new" location on Canada Avenue. In 1982 the practice was sold to Dr. Wiren and Dr. Longair. Presently, the clinic is owned by Dr. Longair and Dr. Lerché, and Dr. Wiren still works at the clinic performing surgeries.
